Gilatter was an undistinguished yellow star located within the Gilatter system,[4] a part of the Churnis sector[3] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It lay on the hyperlane known as the Rago Run, which connected it to the Ansion and Sinton systems.[1]
Gilatter was orbited by at least eight planets,[5] including the gas giant Gilatter VIII.[4] None of its worlds was habitable for most of the galaxy's sentient species.[4]
