The Gengh-Noghri were a subspecies of the Noghri native to the planet Tulpaa in the Unknown Regions, distinguishable by their crocodilian heads filled with flesh-tearing teeth and were over two meters in height, and were the descendents of Noghri slaves taken by ancient Rakata from the Outer Rim Territories to the Tulpaa years before the fall of the Infinite Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes
According to Daniel Wallace, the Gengh-Noghri were intended to be a "tip of the hat" to Olivier Vatine's depiction of the Noghri's in the Heir to the Empire comic adaptation, which differed from how the Noghri were described in Timothy Zahn's original novel.[2]
