The Gedonian ground weevil[4] was a rodent-like creature native to the forest planet Tenoo.[3]

Gedonian ground weevil first appeared in "The Young Jedi," the first part of the first episode,[1] simultaneously with "Get Well Nubs," the first part of the third episode, of the Disney+ and Disney Junior animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures' first season,[3] which aired on May 4, 2023.[5] The 2024 middle grade novel The High Republic: Escape from Valo corrected the capitalization of the species name,[4] which was supported further by the 2024 reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy.[2]
