This character appears to be a Tuckerization of the name of the British writer Neil Gaiman. Barbara Hambly, author of Planet of Twilight, also included another Tuckerization of Neil Gaiman's name in the planet Neelgaimon, in her first Star Wars novel, Children of the Jedi.
