Gavos was a small planet located in the Kastolar sector of the Mid Rim. It was the location of a poorly productive oridium mining operation that was won in a game of sabacc sometime during the Galactic Civil War by Bargos the Hutt—a gambling, middle-ranked Hutt Cartel crime lord living on hard times in a palace somewhere on the Outer Rim. Bargos called in a debt of obligation from a group of adventurers and had them travel to Gavos to assess the quality and worth of the mines.[2]
At Gavos they discovered that the mines technically contained tons of oridium, but that the ore was too difficult to extract to be profitable. However, the group also made a discovery on Gavos that resulted in a fight for their lives against unexpected enemies.[2]
