Gara was a Jedi of the Jedi Order during the Republic Era. Alongside Grand Master Yoda, Gara briefed the Jedi Mace Windu on the creation of coaxium ultra, a new form of coaxium, on the moon Ro Mira and the consequences if it were to fall into the hands of criminal organizations. Windu assumed he was being tasked with retrieving the formula, but Gara informed him that he was instead to locate Azita Cruuz, who had stolen a shipment of coaxium ultra and had broadcasted an offer to trade it for credits and passage offworld.^[1]
