Gar Vulway was a member of the Eternal Alliance specialized in the Alliance Special Investigator at some point[1] around 3623 BBY.[2] Vulway compiled a final report regarding Malgus's escape. The report stated that Darth Malgus's escape was simple, but it was unclear if he was involved in planning it or knew that Shae Vizla would free him.[1]

Gar Vulway was mentioned in "Malgus' Escape," a codex entry introduced in the Galactic Threads storyline released in Game Update 7.8: Pursuit of Ruin, released on December 9, 2025, as part of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith,[3] the eighth digital expansion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[4]
