With a specialty in infotainment brochures, holopromotions, and other media, the company Galaxy Publishing had produced material of this nature for Galaxy Tours, a tourism and starline operator, and Arakyd Industries, a droid manufacturer. Despite primarily being a publishing firm, the company for a time served as the Hutt species' public relations firm, representing several of their businesses. This engagement was not a protracted agreement as the company's board of directors realized the great difficulty in improving the image of the Hutts.[1]
Galaxy Publishing was also a contributing sponsor of the Corporate Sector Authority as a result of providing the equivalent of fifty trillion credits in equipment, funds, and services. As a contributing sponsor, they received a proportional share of Corporate Sector profits as well as nominal discounts on bulk goods and raw materials, though they did not obtain the increased benefits of being selected as a voting sponsor.[1]
Behind the scenes
Galaxy Publishing was mentioned in Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, written by Michael Allen Horne and published in 1993.[1]
