Galan-Kalank was a genre of music popularized through the Atchapat Family Galan-Kalank Orchestra in the High Republic Era. It was performed to the rhythm and sounds of gears and turbines which was also responsible for its name. The Atchapats used portable instruments made of old machine parts to lay down a rhythmic wall of hard-driving industrial clatter, over which a singer would harmonize. The citizens of Coronet City loved the music and had invented coordinated dances to go along with it.[1]
