A detachment of Imperial clone shock troopers guarded the Galactic Senate Building, with Clone Commander Thire serving as its commanding officer.^[1] Following the Proclamation of the New Order and the transformation of the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire,^[3] Commander Thire and his troopers were ordered to search for Jedi Grand Master Yoda^[1] in the moments after his duel with Galactic Emperor Darth Sidious.^[3] Thire was then commanded to accompany the Emperor to retrieve the seriously injured Darth Vader^[1] on Mustafar, taking a squad of his men.^[2]
