G-Type light shuttles, also known as G-Wing shuttles, were small armed transports used during the Jedi Civil War and Sith Civil Wars. They were used to ferry small parties back and forth between planets and capital ships.

There were at least two configurations for this ship.[1] In one configuration, it could ferry at least three people with no difficulty. To assist less-experienced pilots, advanced pilot programming was installed.[1]
Another configuration, labeled as an "escape ship," could carry only one person, making room for more equipment to improve survivability. As this second configuration was an escape ship, it had greater shielding, a hyperdrive and extra supplies.[1]
History
Bastila Shan used such a shuttle of the second type to travel from Lehon to the Star Forge. Later, Canderous Ordo used one of the 3-person variants when traveling from Dxun to Onderon.[1]
