During the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic maintained a fuel refinery in the Choah Belt. It was destroyed by the Galactic Empire shortly after the Battle of Yavin. Its loss caused critical fuel shortages for Alliance operations in the Mortex sector.
