- "Our client wants us to stop their research. Research about healing."
- ―Hoolar Freeb, to a mercenary
Frosch Industries was a biomedical company active at the time of the Galactic Civil War. They researched bacta and searched for ways to improve its effectiveness. One of their research labs was near Kor Vella on Corellia.
History
- "We perform a service. A service that helps our client helps us! Frosch or our client will eventually release better bacta technology. Until then, we profit from their research-race."
- ―Hoolar Freeb, to a mercenary
Frosch Industries staff
During the Galactic Civil War, a competitor hired the Azure Cabal, a mercenary group under the command of Loruna Scathe, to spy on Frosch Industries' research. Scathe placed the Ithorian Hoolar Freeb in charge of the operations against Frosch Industries on Corellia.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] the Frosch researchers seemed to have fallen behind the Cabal's client in the race for a better bacta solution after the Cabal had staged continual operations against Frosch Industries. When it appeared that the bacta technology that Frosch Industries was working on was nearing completion, Freeb was activated to sabotage their research and slow them down even more.[1]
A bacta research lab
Freeb planned an operation that would not only slow their progress, but actually result in the company firing key personnel for incompetence. Freeb tasked one of the Cabal's enforcers to infiltrate the research facility near Kor Vella and acquire a diagram of the chemical structure of their bacta matter. Then the mercenary accessed the lab's computers and manipulated the research records. This manipulation made it impossible for Frosch Industries to create the bacta solution.[1]
Behind the scenes
Frosch Industries appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Frosch Industries was added to the game as part of the Azure Cabal questline,[1] released with the "Chapter 6" update, on May 22, 2007.[4]

Star Wars Galaxies (post-NGE) — Quest: "Hoolar's Enforcer" on Corellia
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
