A Friendly Hutt was an old Imperial tactic which involved a battle fleet feigning ignorance of a hidden enemy in order to force them to reveal their position.

History

When the Millennium Falcon discovered a Yuuzhan Vong fleet at the Black Bantha Nebula, Leia Organa Solo wondered if the enemy fleet was trying to pull a Friendly Hutt.
