I just registered as a Wookieepedian ('Grand Admiral Sean8'); however, an old User page with my I.P. address remains. How can I alter this profile to reflect my new membership? Have I inadvertantly created a 'sock' account, and, if so, how can I correct the problem? Thank you.Grand Admiral Sean8 04:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry, the IP address which remains is not a sock account. Every house with internet access is given an IP address by the internet provider. So, just log in as Grand Admiral Sean8 whenever you want to edit here. MyNz 04:33, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, MyNz. Should I tag the old User page for deletion? Also, how do I configure my new User page? 75.71.95.3 04:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oops. That User up there is me. Forgot to log on...Grand Admiral Sean8 04:40, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- No need to tag that old IP address for deletion because its public property provided by internet providers. Otherwise, have a happy time editing here. Zainal 04:42, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- And as for configuring your new user page, just click on your name and edit away. If you want to do something specific with the page, find someone else's user page that you like, see how they did it, and experiment. jSarek 04:44, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, Zainal and jSarek! J, I believe we already know each other from the Official Site Forums.Grand Admiral Sean8 04:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Its okay to have a humble user page with just a few paragraphs or userboxes. If you want to go for an elaborate user page with a fan-made biography of some fictitious SW character, be aware that you may create only one sub-user page and that your page can only contain three images. See Wookieepedia:User page and profile policy and Wookieepedia:User image policy for more details. Zainal 04:49, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I am not a member of the Official Site. You might have mistaken me for someone. Zainal 04:51, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice, MyNz/Zainal. Don't worry, I read the User Page Policy. ;) And I was actually referring to jSarek, whom I know from the B.C.a.T. Forum. Cheers!Grand Admiral Sean8 06:50, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Aye, you certainly do. :-) jSarek 07:01, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
