Template:Subcat (talk - history - links - logs)
As discussed in Forum:SH:Subcategories and Subcat template, I think we can get rid of this template, which isn't being used consistently anyway. To summarize the findings from the SH discussion:
- The effect of the template can be achieved with
- The template can disrupt other 'bot scripts
- A 'bot can be written to fix the syntax within category pages. If this template gets deleted, we'll get plenty of redlinks (for those who monitor that page).
Whatever the result of this TC, we need to use the resulting method consistently!

- Epic meh. First you make the bot run the script, or get someone to do it. Once it's done and we all see that the template is redundant, you can simply CSD it. But until this is done, it must stay. MauserComlink 17:04, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok, I think I can see which way this is heading. So let me go ahead and ask: is anybody willing to run a droid to update the subcategories to remove use of the template? I don't have the software to do it myself. - Esjs(Talk) 16:05, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- The best bet would probably be to contact Xwing328. Darth Culator might also be able to do it. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 16:22, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Dear admins: I would like to withdraw this TC. It turns out that
will not necessarily keep things alphabetical. Instead, I would like to create a CT to get a consensus on what method of subcategorization we should use consistently. Thank you. - Esjs(Talk) 15:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
