Super Star Destroyer (Byss) (talk - history - links - logs)

You probable remember the recently Trash compacted Imperial capital ship (Byss). I was just pointed out that this ship has a big brother - takes from the same source, this article is also entirely speculation, referenced by sources that have nothing to do with the original illustration. Surely, that depiction of a Star Destroyer does not exactly correspond to any knows class, but what image from the Dark Empire does? Unless someone can present a proof of this being a totally separate class, I suggest deleting it. MauserComlink 03:23, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

The items in this article's Source list, specifically Byss and the Deep Core and Dark Empire Sourcebook, only refer to three types of relevant vessels in regard to this mystery ship orbiting Byss as part of Palpatine's fleet. the general "Star Destroyer," the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, and the Sovereign-class Super Star Destroyer. Keep

  1. Keep and gut like a fish. I think this ship, unlike the others, is pretty clearly not a currently known class and thus warrants an article. That said, there's a LOT of VT-fanon in the article, particularly in the infobox, that needs to come out. A hyperdrive-equipped command ship with a "larger model of ISD-72x deflector shield generator dome"? Puh-leeze. jSarek 09:00, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Doesn't seem to me to correspond to any other large Star Destroyer we've seen pictures of, and not enough information exists to identify it with a class that's only appeared in text. Since the community wouldn't want a combined article on all of the unidentified ships seen on Byss, we should allow this ship its own article, even if it is a magnet for wild speculation. —Silly Dan (talk) 13:33, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
