All quote "galleries"

Way back at the September 2007 Mofference, we voted to get rid of image galleries, partially due to copyright issues (they're not fair use). So what, I ask, is the difference between those and these quote pages? Other than the obvious (images vs. quotes), the answer is "nothing". These are essentially galleries of quotes that I fail to see how we can justify as fair use.

  13. While I think these are much more defensible on fair use grounds than our image galleries were, there's no reason to TRY and defend them when they are of such little value to the site in the first place. jSarek 03:03, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

My favorite part of Wookieepedia are the quote pages! Please don't delete! Many users have spent lots of time creating these pages, don't let that be in vain!   1. First, this should be a CT, not a TC thread, IMO, since it's talking about deleting more than a handful of pages. Second, we still have image categories that we link to that, on a visual level, are the same thing as galleries. That's an appalling level of inconsistency.     Image categories can be displayed as a list of links instead of a gallery by placing the magic word __NOGALLERY__ on them. If you wish to propose that in a CT, be my guest. As to your first point, my understanding is that any proposal to delete pages, regardless of how many, belongs in the TC.
