List of Rodians (talk - history - links - logs)
We've deleted List of Wookiees and List of Hutts. We already have a Category for Rodians. I think we should get rid of this unnecessary list page, too. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:23, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Keep
Redlinks. Last time I voted to provisionally redirect AFTER redlinks were fixed, the action was taken anyway without any fixing done (other than what I tackled myself). I won't repeat that mistake. (By the way, most of those Wookiees are still redlinked.) jSarek 23:22, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Right, except redlinks are not a verification of legitimacy. There's no sourcing for any of these purported characters, and I'm guessing no one can verify their legitimacy. If someone can, I'd be glad to kill the redlink myself. Until that time, I'm not going to operate on the assumption that something might be canonical. - Ba dum dum dum…and another one bites the dust! To address jSarek's concern, though, I'd recommend simply copy/pasting any redlinks to a user subpage or SH forum . . . that's not sufficient cause to keep an unnecessary list. Atarumaster88

- Since the redlinks are tracked down. Mauser 07:58, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- They do have a point jSarek. As the lists are not cited, it may be better to remove them. Granted you can still keep all the redlinks on your user page. -- Riffsyphon1024 08:41, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- EDIT: I guess you did cite them after all... -- Riffsyphon1024 08:42, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- Exterminate it as personally, I see it serving to attract fanon. Cleedo was nixed from the list already, as he's just a Galaxies player who roams DeviantArt. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:47, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- If community consensus is redlinks no longer matter when deleting lists, that's going to make a lot of deletions easier. jSarek 22:42, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

- I made a few articles after utilizing CUSWE and the sources I had access to. I got up to K. Zeelo Fas, Hatabbas, Jiree and Jombo were all legit; so were Haque, Kletoo and Sordu Gogg, but CUSWE's source on each wasn't precise enough for me to create an article (Haque shows up here but it doesn't say much about him and doesn't establish his species so I'm not going to create an article based solely on it). I haven't gone through it all and I may not, but if you want to ensure we don't loose these potential bluelinks, jSarek, I'd suggest you do what I've done on these sorts of lists facing impending doom, because keeping them because some of the redlinks might be legit -- and it's impossible to prove something isn't, even if it's not in CUSWE or whatever, unless you track down the person who added it -- seems quite pointless, especially since in all likelyhood the articles will be created by someone going through a source and creating articles pertaining to it in which case the list's existence or lack thereof won't matter. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 00:50, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- I did two more from The Complete SW Encyclopedia, which also confirms Haque and Zlash (though their entries in the book are as Mister Haque and Mister Zlash). —Xwing328(Talk) 03:13, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Via google and CUSWE, here are sources for all but two of the Rodians on that list. I know some of these could be more precise, but it's a start, and there will at least be a record. I think that's all the objections, so I'm voting delete. Wildyoda 06:56, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
