Katarn (hilt) (talk - history - links - logs)

Game mechanics incorrectly interpreted. The "Katarn" is a customizable lightsaber from Multi-player Jedi Academy only, having no role in the single-player campaign, onlike other hilts in the category. Din's Fire 997 01:02, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

  2. Pfft. No way. It only exists in multi-player mode, and it's called "Katarn" because it's Kyle's lightsaber. The article is 100% fanon. Thefourdotelipsis 01:35, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  3. Does not exist in any meaningful canonical way. If anything, it should be a redirect to Kyle Katarn's second lightsaber, presuming someone cares enough to create such an article. Havac 18:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  4. Does any individual saber variation really require its own article? I think they should all be merged into a single article on lightsaber construction. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 19:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

  6. Agreed with Havac. The article is a combination of a game mechanic, a missunderstanding, and a mis-named article, if it is article-worthy. Delete. Wildyoda 04:19, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

  1. Everything with a name should really be included on the wiki.—Graestan(This party's over) 01:17, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
  2. Keep, since it's a basic hilt with a name (provided that it is a basic hilt in the Jedi Order... that is, if there's anything canonical about the multi-player part). KEJ 23:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
    • It's not, and there isn't. Thefourdotelipsis 06:41, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
      • I'm starting to wonder. What is the official status of multi-player items and levels and all that? Is there any official LucasFilm document or something which says so? KEJ 18:10, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

If anything its a game mechanic, and usually those aren't considered canonical. See the Battlefront series for examples in this. -- Riffsyphon1024 17:24, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

This wasn't a basic lightsaber hilt, it was Kyle Katarn's hilt. --Admiral06 03:03, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Indeed. Heck, the thing doesn't even appear in the SP-campaigns - it's a multi-player customization. I'd say Merge with Kyle Katarn (not that there's anything to merge...) and if not... VFD anyone? Din's Fire 997 06:18, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
    • This article needs to be deleted. This isn't about Katarn's lightsaber, this is about game mechanics. In the game, you can choose from a selection of hilts for your lightsaber. EVEN if they did use those hilts as standard designs, the Katarn lightsaber is ONLY available in multi-player, and is therefore not canon.—Unsigned comment by (- -) (talk • contribs)
