How To Dodge (talk - history - links - logs)

A nonexistent "book" mentioned as a joke to make a point to a character. I'd like to recommend a book to everyone called "How Not to Put Stupid Crap in Our Wiki." Enochf 02:36, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

  1. The idea here is to create a separate list of nonexistent places, languages, species, titles, and so forth used either as jokes, as obviously fake pseudonyms, or as examples to make a point. Then place "How to Dodge" into that list and expand it as necessary. Enochf 02:36, 26 April 2007 (UTC) (If this idea gets derided and laughed out of the building, then I'll switch to "Delete")
  2. I like this. BTW, I'd like to read that book. Where can I get it? ;) Chack Jadson 23:55, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

  4. I think Enochf's idea would work. —Xwing328(Talk) 17:24, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
  5. Yes, this list is a good idea. And it would nip this in the bud in the future, when we inevitably have more new articles created by people who don't understand humor. Gonk (Gonk!) 02:22, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
  6. Agreed. Let's do this. Jedi Master Fiolli 16:02, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

  8. This makes sense, there are certainly enough of them (the Nostril of Palpatine, etc.) --Amican 18:42, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

  • At least "Nostril of Palpatine" is actually funny. This article has nothing going for it. Nothing will ever link to it except a userpage going "hey, look at this!" Enochf 02:36, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Protest abstention. We have a CT on this, and have already had a VFD that should have been left to the CT result. And counting votes before, after, and during the CT, this is the fifth vote on non-existent subjects so far. - Lord Hydronium 02:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
    • Plus the merge vote on Talk:Bimkall Sector, which I'm going to close now pending the CT thread result. —Silly Dan (talk) 03:32, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
      • That was one of my five. Did I miss one? (I counted Bobo, Bimkall Sector, CT, VFD for Nostril, and this one). - Lord Hydronium 03:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
        • There's also Forum:Drawing the line: IU vs OOU, though that's partly about Wookieepedia:Votes for deletion/Breast. Say 5 1/2? —Silly Dan (talk) 03:48, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
          • They're all canon, whether or not they are mistakes or nonexistant. Take Kamino for instance. -- Riffsyphon1024 20:30, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
