Me again I was wondering about anyones opinions/thoughts about a possible "Wookiee Census" to see how many people are active users. I don't know how much participation there would be, so if I could hear from a few people first, it would be great. Thanks! The Boba Fettest 22:12, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Huh?
- Um? Look at the people who vote on WP:TC and F:CT, and who work on FAs/GAs. I'd say those are the active users. Wildyoda 04:38, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, that would make a pretty accurate list of the major contributors. You could also take a look at the recent changes. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 09:04, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see how contributing to the aforementioned sections necessarily shows active users. There are many active users that don't participate in those. I don't necessarily work on FAs or GAs. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:07, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hence the RC suggestion. It gets anyone who has contributed in a set time frame, indicating which users actually do something on this wiki. You could have problems with people in other time zones though. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 02:00, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- Then RC would be the most updated. Still though, in order to see every active user over the course of a month, well that's just not possible to view on RC. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:20, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Not to brag or anything, but I could probably give you a pretty good list of active users (I spend far for time here then is healthy :P). Generally, it's all the Inqs (minus Jaina Solo), most of the admins, and a few others. I acutally think this could be a decen idea. First though, I'd like to know why you need this info. Curiousity? - I was just wondering how you would classify an active user? Everyday? Once a week? X times in a month, but all within a couple of days? Or would you have several degrees of activity levels? Cylka-talk- 12:51, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- Special:WikiaStats has statistics on active users; for that page, it seems any activity within the past 30 days is sufficient to be counted as "active." I'd say that's a relatively good starting point, if all you're looking for is some way to define the term. jSarek 12:59, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- We also have Wookieepedia:Wookieepedians, which is a list of (mostly former) users who have decided to dedicate some of their time to editing. Probably about 90%don't even visit anymore and probably don't have that many contributions anyway. Names are never removed, but it's a pointer on some previously active users. - Maybe they could timeline member activeness for us. Find the starting point and the last known edit and chart it. -- Riffsyphon1024 12:38, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
I was just wondering how many people we really have on here at the current time. The Boba Fettest 14:13, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think this could be quite interesting actually. --Eyrezer 23:35, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
