Hello, with the new sources Star Wars: Head-to-Head Tag Teams (still a redlink apparently) and the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia, there is new information given on many characters. This also means that some quality articles are missing new info; Head-to-Head tag teams gives new height info, and Character Encyclopedia has entries, including new information. I will list all the quality articles needing updates from both sources.

Yodapedia has the updated info on these characters from these sources, so I myself, though not having the sources, have access to the info. Hanzo Hasashi 16:09, June 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for mentioning this, Hanzo. Do you know whether the associated species articles need to be updated too? Like, Shawda Ubb, say, or Gand? Also, SH seems to be fairly low traffic lately, so you might need to just add the update tags to these articles to let the nominators know they need to update things. ~Savage

- Not sure about Shawda Ubb, however, since Zuckuss is a Gand, I guess that those two books (as he's in both) should added to sources. AFAIK nothing new from the Character Encyclopedia, and Head-to-Head just reveals his height in kilograms, which can also be solved with real world math. Hanzo Hasashi 03:06, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up on my talk page about Bultar! Really appreciated. :) Is there a lot of new info, or is there just a little bit? If there's not too much, is there any chance you could share it with me here? You could also add it yourself if you'd like. Either way is great. But if there's a significant amount of new info, I'll try to track down a scan or something. Menkooroo 03:31, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't have the source, but it really seems there is no new info for this character from either sources, seeing her Yodapedia page. Hanzo Hasashi 03:42, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Height in kilograms? Sense make, that does not. Though, if that was his weight, send it my way. Zuckuss is on my maintenance list. Trak Nar Ramble on 03:52, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, my bad, perhaps maybe the characters' weights in kg, my mistake. Hanzo Hasashi 04:04, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Weight
The fact that these sources are giving weights to various characters makes me wonder: Should we add a weight field to the various character infoboxes? ~Savage

- I think it would be a good idea. For the time being, though, I put it in the height field. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:10, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Note that Star Wars: Head-to-Head includes weights for several characters/species/creatures as well, so it would have to be added to the Species infobox too. I too think it would be a good idea. ~Savage

- If H2HTT gives the average weight of a Gand, that would be helpful. Time to check... EDIT: Nothing on Yodapedia, but if I see the book when I go hunt down the Character Encyclopedia, I'll crack it open for a look. And take with me a small notebook and scribble down what I need, ala what I did with Scum & Villainy. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:27, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

- I was just going to say something about weight when I saw that in Jek Porkins' article. But how many characters will have that information given? -- Riffsyphon1024 07:45, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- No doubt more than the ones listed. The ones listed were only done so for their article status, and no doubt the previous Head-to-Head book has weights. Personally, I think that if the number of people given weights is high enough, say twenty or so, perhaps it may warrant an additional field. There are prolly other sources for weights somewhere out there, and I doubt this current H2H will be the last one. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:48, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes understandable to look to the future, and do so now if we can say that we will encounter more. You say there is a previous HOH book to this. We should probably see what is in there before implementing this, though it does sorta look tacky to cluster weight into the height field.. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:55, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's not the prettiest of formats. Not sure what to do about it, though. An option could be to forgo it for the time being, but that wouldn't be very beneficial. Adding it to the P&t section is another idea, though. How to properly word that, however... "Zuckuss weighed 70 kilograms." Hm. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:07, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- I could imagine it like what an external source would estimate his weight to be, as if he never gave an official measurement, "Zuckuss was known to have weighed around 70 kilograms". It could also harken to what Dr. Hammond once said, "we've clocked the T.Rex at 70 mph." ;) -- Riffsyphon1024 08:35, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, but was known by whom? I definitely think weight is P&T material where known, but it should probably just be in the "X weighed Y" format. As for a weight field in infoboxes, there are currently two Head-to-Head books, but I'd be surprised if a third doesn't show up assuming the first two sell well. As for species/creature weights, this info is found in not only HTH books but also the Saga edition of the Wizards of the Coast RPG. I'm thinking that at the very least, weight should be added to the species template, though I'd still support it for the character templates too. ~Savage

- Just squeezed weights into the Gand article (infobox and body). Yeah, we need a weight field. Cramming it into the height field isn't very pretty. It gets the job done for the time being, but it's not pretty to look at. As for Zuckuss's weight, I tossed it into his P&t, in the section describing his drinking habits. "Zuckuss weighed around 70 kilograms[...]" Nothing special. Trak Nar Ramble on 23:14, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

- Well, I've started a discussion about the species side of things here. I'll leave the character infobox discussion for someone else who writes more character articles than I do. ~Savage
