Hey everyone,

Tope's recent revival of Wookieepedia:Interviews piqued my interest. A number of us are facebook friends with quite a few authors and other VIPs, and I've had friendly and positive interactions with them in the past. I would love to contact some of them and ask if they'd be interested in doing an interview.

What I'm wondering is --- what do you guys think of posting interviews to our NewsNet account? The regular interview page would still exist, but the NewsNet page would be a secondary place to post it. As it would appear on our Main Page, it would be good publicity for both the site (Look, casual visitors! We interview VIPs!) and for the author, provided that we ask them some questions about their recent and/or upcoming projects. On that latter note, it could also act as added impetus for the VIP to accept the request --- for example, I want to send a request to Pablo Hidalgo, and if I told him that it would be a chance to plug the Reader's Companion in an article that would be posted on Wookieepedia's Main Page, I feel like he might be more likely to accept.

This isn't a big change being proposed --- all of the steps laid out in Wookieepedia:Interviews would still be followed, but the final product would just be posted to our NewsNet page as well, in a similar format to the WOTM interviews. I love the idea, and I also don't see a need to CT it. New features have been introduced on the blog before without CT (e.g. the wacky articles post), so I don't see where this would need approval either.
