In the beginning, there was the Random Article Button. Many observed its mystifying ability to direct them to fascinating, little-known facets of the Star Wars universe that they never even dreamed could be canonical. However, Wookieepedians looked upon such results with a touch of sorrow, as they knew writing out these articles would be pointless: there was no way to bring the vast majority of them to 250 words, so these articles were just left barren, lonely stubs. Then, in 2010, the Wookieepedia community reached a consensus on the matter: there was more to those articles than "good" status. They didn't need that sort of recognition. What these articles required was a seal guaranteeing their complete coverage of their subjects. And Wookieepedians shouted in unison "Let there be CAN!" and there were Comprehensive Articles.

No longer did Wookieepedians look upon the Random Article Button so lugubriously. It was now a source of joy and articles that could be elaborated upon and given recognition for their quality. One such Random Article user went by the handle "NaruHina" and on the Great Day he was graced the Random Article Button with a Great Gift. The Button knew well that he had prolifically fed Wookieepedia with a stream of such Comprehensive articles and that once given this challenge he would not back down under any circumstance until it saw completion. What the Button provided NaruHina with was an article entitled Dilonexa system, which detailed a star system by the name Dilonexa which contained 40 planets. 38 of these planets were redlinks. 39 were barren rocks that had no impact upon the greater Star Wars universe, but NaruHina knew they deserved articles as all legitimate subjects do within Wookieepedia. He therefore set out to write these 39 himself, christening this venture Operation Centurion Deathstroke. He began with the first planet, entitled Dilonexa I, soon after his discovery. He crafted this article with special care, more than he had with any of his previous Comprehensive Articles, as he planned to use it as a perfect template for the other 38. The months he had put into it were fruitful and did indeed produce an article worthy of the Comprehensive seal, which he then copied, creating the first 22 planets in Dilonexa I's image before nominating them all for status.

This first venture was not to be successful. Shortly before the nominations, part of the community began objecting to merely carbon copying articles for status and NaruHina had encountered these Wookieepedians before. In those instances, his copying had been between a few articles at a time, but at the prospect of 39 of the same article, NaruHina saw their point and agreed to rephrase 21 of the articles. He had almost worked his way down the entire list, wracking his brain to rephrase so many articles with so little information, when another objection was given to the articles: they were incomplete and thus not Comprehensive. Another User, "SavageBob", was an advocate of a source known as The Essential Atlas which provided astrographic information on the myriad of planets within the Star Wars galaxy. NaruHina was aware of this source and believed he had incorporated all it had to say on the Dilonexa system. SavageBob informed him that he was mistaken. Not only did the Atlas provide astrographic information, it contained large political maps of various galactic governments and entities, some of which controlled the system and thereby the planets! NaruHina was shocked by this revelation and went back to the original article to include this information. By the end of his toil, NaruHina found that the article had surpassed 250 words and was ineligible for Comprehensive status. It would instead go to the Good Article Nomination page for judgement there. The 22 articles were then removed. This was the most simultaneous failures seen on any nomination pages in the history of Wookieepedia and would go down in history as The Naru SNAFU.

By the end of the Comprehensive Article Nomination process, NaruHina was also informed that the title "Dilonexa I" could be erroneous. While NaruHina objected to the reasoning provided for this, eventually it came down to an organizational issue: Dilonexa XXIII was canonically named and these articles were not. The conjectural names were flooding the auto-completion box and drowning that planet among them. After The Naru SNAFU, NaruHina relented and renamed Dilonexa I "Unidentified planet 1 (Dilonexa system)" and decreed that the other planets would eventually be given similar names.

Over the next few months, NaruHina continued to quietly work on the Unidentified Planet, creating sections and recording all the entities that were ever known to have the planets within their speres of influence. Once finished, he realized the daunting task taking on this mission alone necessitated: rewording 39 articles of several hundred words and nominating them three at a time. He had learned from his failure and knew how difficult it was to reword so many articles when they were but a fraction of the Unidentified Planet's final size and he began to contemplate a way to fulfill his mandate from the Random Article Button. In the meantime, he placed it on the Good Article Nomination page and awaited any replies. Soon an old acquaintance of his with whom NaruHina had shared many "YO"s and "OY"s with over the preceding years, "ifindyourlackoffaithdisturbing", alerted him that in his inclusionism had been overzealous and that instead of an article on the history of this planet he had written a history of the Centrality, the planet's sector. NaruHina, after much debate with ifindyourlackoffaithdisturbing and another User named "Grand Moff Tranner", came to understand and agree with his comrades' perspective and, while the latter wanted the History section excised, he cut out extraneous detail and left the history appropriately bare. The article was granted its Good Article status soon afterward.

In the wake of this success, NaruHina was again faced with the quandry of more than three dozen other articles in need of individual write-ups and he pondered what should become of them. It did not take him long to decide what needed to be done. Months before, the User "Menkooroo" had proposed an initiative called a Barn-Burner in which he had gotten the entire community involved, improving articles pertaining to the Wookiee species. It was highly successful. NaruHina decided to use a similar strategy that, while not part of the canonical Barn-Burners that were sure to follow (and did), he would start a project dedicated to these articles and ask people to volunteer to write a few of them: if enough Users got involved, he believed that each and every barren planet in the Dilonexa system could reach status and the community could come together once again to do something fun. To signify its separation from the Barn-Burners, NaruHina chose to dub his offshoot the Shed-Scorcher and that is the page you see before you today. NaruHina is done taking in the third-person. It's annoying.
