There is a problem with the articles Wertram Garran and Ori Garran
First of all, Wertram was a male, and he had a wife. His last name is not Garran, and is not at all related to Ori Garann. There are two passages about him in Lost Tribe of the Sith: Skyborn: in the first, he is mentioned, and in the second, he is being talked to, so that counts as an appearance.
1st: "Heretic! That's what your uncle says they're calling you," Eulyn said. "He was here-and neighbor Wertram, the tailor. And his wife, too-she never leaves the hut for anything! Eight people have been by today!"
2nd: She searched the crowd for familiar faces. Her students had ducked out the day before when things had gotten rough, but some of their parents were here. "You, Ori Garran! You sent your son to the scholars because he wasn't any good at the mill. And Wertram, your daughter. Everyone here in Tahv-do you think the village is going to fall into a hole because I talked to your children about some rocks?"
These things being said, in the first passage, Adari's Uncle, Wertram and his wife visited her house. If it was the wife of her uncle, how some people misread, Eulyn would say "your aunt" or "my sister". If Wertram was a little girl, how the article implies, she would not have reason to be mad on Adari for scholaring his children, that being the primary issue of the townsfolk.
In the second, she adressed some familair faces in the crowd - the first being Ori Garann, and the second Wertam. Wertram could not posibbly be Ori's daughter because he has a wife and he would have no reason to visit Adari's house in the first place.
Wertram is the tailor in Tahn, he has a wife, and a daughter. His daughter was sent to the scholars, to be taught by Adari Vahl. Adari first adressed Ori Garann and then Wertram. The creator of the article believed that he and Ori's son were brothers. Two separate characters were merged into the Wertram Garran article. Let's be honest, Wertram cannot be a tailor and a little girl scholar at the same time.
The Wertram Garran article should be renamed to just Wertram, and there should be two new articles about Wertram's wife and Wertram's daughter. The ebook was a free download, so I'm sure some of you have it. Check pages 1 and 8.--Seth danny (talk) 00:09, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
- I think the source of confusion here is the unusual phrasing of "And Wertram, your daughter." Someone interpreted "your daughter" as a parenthetical phrase modifying "Wertram", when the correct interpretation (based on the undisputed facts above) is an implied repeat of the previous thought, replacing "Ori Garran" and "your son" with "Wertram" and "your daughter" respectively. This definitely needs fixed, and I've posted it for official CA review. —MJ— Comlink Wednesday, June 27, 2012, 02:25 UTC
- Exactly. Thanks. I believe I can help with the editing once everything is clarified.--Seth danny (talk) 03:10, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
I would also point out that Ori Garran was only mentioned in the statement above. Therefore his/her sex is not specified. In Lost Tribe of the Sith: Purgatory, we see that Ori is the short version of Orielle, the main character being Ori Orielle Kitai. This is not proof enough to point that Ori Garran is a female keshiri, but there is no mention of Ori being a male, either. Having a son does not mean the character is also a male.--Seth danny (talk) 04:10, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
- If you desired, the questions above could easily be resolved by contacting John Jackson Miller and asking him, he is very good at getting back to fan questions.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 14:13, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
