Fellow admins, and non-admins who find themselves reverting a lot of vandalism: if we get hit with repeated vandalism from a series of obvious sockpuppets, and the autoblock doesn't seem to be helping, please try reporting it to the Wikia staff on the central Wikia wiki or on the #wikia IRC channel. They may be able to do a checkuser for you, find which IPs the serial vandals are coming from, and help you block them by IP. Additionally, if there are no admins online, staffers can ban vandals.
Of course, they'll only do this for a serious problem, but their checkuser powers are very useful at times. —Silly Dan (talk) 03:40, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Today's was the worst case I have experienced. How often have we had large scale vandalism like this.--Darth OblivionComlink

Admins, if you need a check then please give staff links to the users' contributions. That makes a checkuser much easier. We can compare IPs of users (useful for socking checks, or if an IP ban or a range ban is needed), or we can find the range of IPs from a single user to help with range blocking. If there is a wider problem, then there are also other possibilities, such as Wikia wide bans and bans on creating certain user names. So as Silly Dan says, let us know if you need us! :) -- sannse 13:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
