Wookieepedia:Requests for user rights now has a "Rollback rights" feature. We don't have the rules for the vote written down yet, so here are some options I could think of:
Contents
Same as for adminship
2/3rds supermajority of users, 2/3rds supermajority of admins, unanimous support from voting bureaucrats.
Simple majority of all users, with bureaucrat veto
This would allow a single bureaucrat to veto a rollback rights request, but otherwise work simply by counting votes. Bureaucrats who fail to vote at all over the two weeks would be assumed not to object.
- Given that this is a quicker way to revert, a majority with veto seems sufficient. -Fnlayson 23:23, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think this power is safe enough for us to hand it out like candy to most of our contributors. It just lets them do in one click what would normally take three. jSarek 01:30, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not really that important to worry about the wrong people using this. And who would abuse rollbacks anyway? ;) -- Riffsyphon1024 05:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

2/3rds majority of all users, with bureaucrat veto
Same as above, but a supermajority is needed.
- Most users up for vote who can get a simple majority would get a 2/3rds majority over two weeks anyway. —Silly Dan (talk) 22:22, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Torn between this and the lemonade option. --Imp 22:23, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Minor power, but best to keep standards high as general principle. Havac 02:50, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Actually, let's not have the rollback rights option on this wiki at all
Vote here if you think this whole thing is stupid or useless.
Lemonade? I hate lemonade!
Self explanatory.

- Damn lemonade. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 06:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Does this count as a "Rollback? What's that?" vote? Red XIV 03:52, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Requests for removal of rollback rights would work the same way, but in reverse, I suggest. —Silly Dan (talk) 22:22, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
What exactly does Rollback rights include? That's a quicker way to do reverts, I guess. Anything else? Thanks. -Fnlayson 22:48, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's absolutely it. You still need an admin to delete, block, close votes, yell "I BID YOU DARK GREETINGS!" at Mofferences, etc., etc. —Silly Dan (talk) 22:52, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- It won't allow a person to rollback a page move though, you have to do that on your own. -- SFH 23:29, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Good, thanks for clarifying folks. -Fnlayson 18:48, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
