The following is a proposition that I present for voting:

Support

1. As nominator....Although I highly, highly, highly doubt that we will ever have to worry about the first point, you just never know what the future holds ("Difficult to see, the future is" -Yoda). So this is a simple protection against any future wave of Wookieepedians wanting to merge with a Disney Wiki. However, the other points are more necessary, I think. If someone asks some dumb question about Disney on here, instead of just deleting their comment and saying, "This is the Star Wars Wiki. That crap doesn't belong here." You would now actually have grounds on which to delete their Disney question, article, comment, etc. Fe Nite (talk) 19:19, April 11, 2013 (UTC)

Oppose

1. This just seems pointless to me as it is already policy to not use Wookieepedia as a forum to discuss anything other than improving this site. Also because we are not "The Wookieepedia." MasterFred^(Whatever) 22:52, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
2. No offense intended, but this sounds like a joke. People seem to suddenly have a bizarre paranoia that makes them think Disney and Star Wars are now just one entity and we're going to see mickey mouse running around with Luke Skywalker. 3. Unnecessary and redundant with existing policies and practices. Any proposal to merge this Wiki or change its SW-centric procedures would require the same high consensus threshold as it would take to rescind this policy in the first place. Just trust that, as Star Wars fans, we'll keep this site's mission in mind. And should two-thirds of our users ever vote to change that ... well, they must have a really good reason that we cannot fathom at this time. jSarek (talk) 23:54, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
4. I think CC-8 and jSarek pretty much summed it up. Even if I do have terrible worries for the future of Star Wars, the proposed policy aims at a very implausible scenario. As long as we all remember what we are here for, everything's gonna be fine. --LelalMekha (talk) 00:01, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

14. Per Culator. I don't like Disney, to be perfectly honest. So, I would be happy with keeping Disney off the site, but we already have rules preventing non-SW stuff from happening.
