The result of the debate was If a crossover occurs, only items specifically in the crossover will be included on Wookieepedia. —Xwing328(Talk) 23:34, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Exactly what doesn't matter, but for the sake of argument, let's say Lucasfilm and Paramount get together and produce an official Star Wars/Star Trek crossover that counts as canon for both.
Should we then create wiki articles only for the ST people, objects, places, etc. that appear in the actual story (like we did for Picard) or should we recognize that ST and SW share a multiverse, essentially mirror Memory Alpha, and create articles for everything ST, even those that have nothing whatsoever to do with the actual crossover?
(And, of course, this applies to whatever the crossover is; Marvel, DC, Monkey Island...)
I'm curious as to opinions on this... Thanos6 19:53, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Why have you brought this up? Is it likely? Please, I hope not. Chack Jadson 20:28, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Two reasons. One, I'm curious; and two, we should go ahead and decide it now and not have our hand suddenly forced when/if it ever happens. Thanos6 20:29, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I say we should create articles only for things that appear in crossovers. Let the people at Memory Alpha deal with those things that don't appear together. And I don't think they would ever be merged. Chack Jadson 20:31, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

- Not only should we only do articles for the things that appear directly in the crossover, but we shouldn't include details in those articles that weren't revealed in the crossover. So if someone just mentioned "Starfleet Command," the article would go like "Starfleet Command was the command authority for the mysterious visitors from a distant galaxy" and not like "Starfleet Command was the central command authority for the Starfleet of the United Federation of Planets. It was located on a planet called Earth in the city of San Francisco yada yada yada..." because those details aren't available to the GFFA. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 20:46, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed with Culator, particularly in reference to Brodo_Asogi etc, a crossover that's already been discussed numerous times. Wildyoda 22:33, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- With Culator. —Xwing328(Talk) 00:03, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly. This is already basically our unofficial policy, since there *have* been some crossovers, either as subtle shout-outs (Brodo Asogi), Infinities material (Jones), or "ambiguous" (not!) articles that Lucasfilm never approved (Jean-Luc Picard, Xenomorph, and all the other junk from InQuest Gamer 39). jSarek 02:19, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
