The result of the debate was to disallow fan colored images.
This is a simple enough CT...should we allow fan colored images to be allowed on the Wookieepedia or not? Technically, they can be classed as fanart and can be very innacurate, but sometimes they're not. So allow, or don't allow?

- Colored, no. Slightly tweaked to be more correct on rare occasion, yes. -- Ozzel 19:36, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

- Don't allow. Color correction of a bad scan is one thing, but making actual changes isn't what Wookieepedia is about. jSarek 07:35, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

- I'm not sure we should allow exceptions even. What's wrong with having just a black/white if that's all that's available. WhiteBoy 02:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

- I don't think we should allow them personally as they can be highly innacurate and I feel we should keep only completely canon images on the Wookieepedia. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 07:32, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- We have two recoloured canon images at Ben Skywalker and Rokur Gepta which take canon images and retouch them to match the text. We can continue to make that sort of exception on a case-by-case basis, I think. —Silly Dan (talk) 19:12, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
- The Ben Skywalker one isn't canon; it's from a Tales story. - Lord Hydronium 02:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Is this supposed to includ John Doe Placeholders? --Sauron18 01:09, 11 June 2006
- I'd say no. Those are more icons representing a lack of information than an attempt to present information, and modifying images that aren't meant to be representing SW information are allowed (see any of our awards or our logo, for instance). jSarek 07:35, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

- I'd say the existence of an image of Rokur Gepta in red clothes proves that he canonically wore red on some occasion. As for Ben, well, that's a Tales story, and if the details of his hair are wrong, how can we trust anything else? jSarek 07:35, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

- Well, I think the concensus is pretty clear. Is there any futher need for voting? —Mirlen 14:20, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
