- I'm sorry if this is off-topic, but I was wondering what's the policy on blocking users? Every day there are articles that need to be deleted right away. You have the articles that relate to SW (but are not adjusted to the Wookiee style), fanon stuff, but also stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with SW. I would like to know if people who add stupid things that have nothing to do with SW are blocked right away. If not, how do you deal with these guys? Thx --Sompeetalay 18:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Our blocking policy is at Wookieepedia:Blocking policy, though it is not always strictly followed, as admins are allowed to use their own judgement. To answer your specific question, a single nonsense article from a new user usually gets {{test1}}, {{test2}}, or {{msg-fanon}} on their talk page rather than a block from me. Repeated foolishness results in a temporary block. —Silly Dan (talk) 22:43, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- If you come across vandalism and other problems, be sure to point them out on Wookieepedia:Vandalism in progress. jSarek 04:21, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

- I'm more likely to block people without mentioning it in VIP. Sorry about that. —Silly Dan (talk) 23:00, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

- I'm normally pretty good about informing VIP . . . I just haven't been around enough lately to catch vandals in the first place. ;-) jSarek 09:50, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
