The Force Web, a network of filaments that connected galaxies, was the largest known structure in the universe[1] by 32 BBY.[2] Shortly before that time, Galactic Republic scientists had announced the discovery of the Force Web, the study of which they hoped would yield information about the formation and evolution of galaxies.[1] In that year,[2] Jedi Master Mace Windu thought about the Force Web after realizing the nature of the mycelial web that connected the planet Metagos through the Force.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Force Web was mentioned in the 2024 novel Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss, written by Steven Barnes.[1] In the real world, the cosmic web is the large-scale structure that connects galaxies, superclusters, and galactic walls.[3]
