Force-sculpture was a form of art which consisted in producing three-dimensional figures, manipulating matter through the Force. Towards the end of the Republic Era, the Jedi Master Veleckra taught Force-sculpture at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.[1] The Duros Jedi Master Wishan was also a Force sculptor, using dark red clay to fashion a variety of figures, such as a greater krayt dragon, a tower, a replica Jedi Temple, and even a statuette representing the young Jedi Jabe Rann, complete with a lightsaber.[2]
Behind the scenes
Force-sculpture first appeared in the current Star Wars canon in Dooku: Jedi Lost, a 2019 audiodrama written by Cavan Scott.[1] The art form was first pictured in the first episode of Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge during an animated flashback sequence[2] also written by Scott.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Force-sculpture first appeared in the 2002 novel The Approaching Storm by Alan Dean Foster,[4] and was first identified as such in the 2004 novel MedStar II: Jedi Healer, written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry.[5]
