An amphibious sentient species ate food pearls.
A food pearl was a type of pearl found in caverns below the surface of Sunshine Lake on the Forest Moon of Endor. The pearls were shiny, yellow spheres that littered the caves of an amphibious species. The species ate the pearls as their main food source. They sliced the pearls up with knives before consuming them.[1] The growth of the pearls was fostered by means of a powerful red pearl and, after that pearl was destroyed in 3 ABY, a blue pearl.[1]
