"Tabac stick?"
―Safonne Pendon, to the Venithon Twins[1]

The Flyntarian tabac stick was a type of tabac stick that originated in the Outer Rim Territories' Flyntaria system. At some point by 2 ABY, Safonne Pendon, the leader of a group of pirates, offered several Flyntarian tabac sticks to the Venithon Twins, two pirates of the rival Hy'thor Group, while the trio discussed a truce aboard Pendon's corvette Safonne's Sword. During the conversation, one of the twins, Dorin, and Pendon himself both smoked a tabac stick.

Description

The Flyntarian tabac stick was a type of expensive tabac stick[1] that originated in[3] the Flyntaria system of the Outer Rim Territories' D'Astan sector.[2]

History

Safonne Pendon kept a number of Flyntarian tabac sticks in his office.

Safonne Pendon kept a number of Flyntarian tabac sticks in his office.

Safonne Pendon, the Rodian leader of a group of pirates that operated in[1] the Outer Rim's[4] Mieru'kar sector, kept several Flyntarian tabac sticks in the top drawer of a bureau he kept in his office aboard his[1] personal[5] corvette, Safonne's Sword. Pendon used an autoigniter to light the tabac sticks and used a refuse chute on the side of his desk to dispose of them when they had burned out.[1]

At some point by 2 ABY,[6] the Ithorian pirate twins Denuab and Dorin—known as the Venithon Twins—visited the corvette in order to negotiate a truce on behalf of their employer and Pendon's rival, Ompiach of the Hy'thor Group. The Venithons were taken to Pendon's office, where, after seating themselves opposite the pirate leader, the Rodian offered them Flyntarian tabac sticks—one for each of the brothers' two mouths. While Denuab politely declined the offer, Dorin accepted one of the tabac sticks and, after it was lighted, puffed it while being irritated at Pendon's confidence in his situation in the negotiation. The Rodian himself also smoked a tabac stick, with it becoming nearly burned-out during the course of the conversation between him and the Ithorians.[1]

Behind the scenes

Flyntarian tabac sticks appeared in "An Offer They Couldn't Refuse," a short companion narrative included in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
