Flybane

Flybane was a commander in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.^[1] In 22 BBY,^[2] Flybane aided Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Master Tanis during a battle on the planet Ryloth. In the midst of the fight, Skywalker recorded a holographic transmission, requesting aid from the Republic, but he was spotted by a Confederate battle droid in the process. As Skywalker charged to attack the droid, he told Flybane and Master Tanis to keep close.^[1] Ultimately, the Republic won the battle.^[3]

Behind the scenes

Commander Flybane received a brief mention in holorecord made by Anakin Skywalker that served as promotional material for the video game Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes and was posted on September 14, 2009 on the LucasArts website.^[1] However, Flybane did not appear in the game itself.^[3]
