Fly Fast and Die Young! was a memoir written by a retired ace. Rebel Alliance pilot Wedge Antilles read the book while he was a child on[1] the Core World[2] of Corellia. Antilles chose to read Fly Fast and Die Young! because he was interested in becoming a pilot, although he would later find out that the memoir and other media that described a pilot's life focused heavily on high-g maneuvers and defiant messages sent via comm, while neglecting other key aspects, such as pilots' inability to sleep for long periods of time while flying.[1]
