The flow-mollusk was native to the Outer Rim Territories planet Eriadu. The shelled mollusk at one point lived in the planet's shallow oceans,[1] and for centuries,[2] Eriadu was known for its delicate shellwork jewelry. Around 900 BBY, however, the five powerful and ambitious Core Worlds families known as the Quintad migrated to the planet and sought to transform it into a manufacturing world. As a result, Eriadu became heavily polluted, and increased ocean acidity led to the flow-mollusk shells dissolving and the creatures becoming extinct.[1]
