A flotation cell was a type of flotation device fitted in a signblimp. In 19 ABY, a group pursuing the the Jedi archivist Mander Zuma and spacers Reen Irana and Eddey Be'ray on the moon Nar Shaddaa fired on a signblimp, causing some of its flotation cells to puncture. Shortly thereafter, Zuma, Irana and Be'ray hijacked another signblimp which crashed into a bridge, bursting most of its flotation cells.[1]
