The Flash 4 was a blaster model manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. to compete with BlasTech Industries's DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. It succeeded on the market and became known as a legal, low-power alternative to the DL-44.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Flash 4 first appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity as the "Flash" 4 in Planet of Twilight, a novel by Barbara Hambly which was released in 1997.[2] The Flash 4 was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Altaya's "Blasters and Ranged Weapons" reference book, released exclusively in France on February 23, 2021.[1]
