- "They savaged the outpost at Furies Gate, then took the Giants—Obri and Mawr and their moons—before we blunted their attack on Tython itself."
- ―Je'daii Master Daegen Lok's log
Sometime between 25,793 and 25,792 BBY,[2] after capturing the gas giants Obri and Mawr during their invasion of the Tython system, the Infinite Empire of the Rakata species attacked the planet Tython, as Predor Skal'nas hoped to secure the Infinity Gate rumored to exist there. However, the Je'daii Order repelled the Rakatan assault. Forced back, the Infinite Empire captured the planet Ska Gora instead.[1]
Behind the scenes
The battle of Tython was mentioned in the comic book Dawn of the Jedi: Force War 1, written by John Ostrander and released by Dark Horse Comics on November 20, 2013.[1]

NYCC EXCLUSIVE: Ostrander and Duursema Unveil "Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi" on ComicBookResources (October 13, 2011) (backup link archived on August 17, 2020) establishes that the Force Storm arc of Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi occurs in 25,793 BBY. Dawn of the Jedi: Force War 1 states that it begins one year after the events of the The Prisoner of Bogan arc, which in turn states it picks up two months after Force Storm. Thus, Force War occurs in 25,792 BBY, and the battle for Tython occurs sometime between Dawn of the Jedi: The Prisoner of Bogan 5 and Force War 1.
