Firin Morett was a fair-skinned Human with brown hair who worked as an engineer in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War fought by the Alliance against the Galactic Empire.[1] Stationed with General Jan Dodonna at the Great Temple on the moon Yavin 4[3] prior to 0 BBY's Battle of Yavin,[4] he[2] had final launch authority in the base's hangar[1] and managed ground crews.[5]
Responsible for preparing Red and Gold Squadron starships for battle,[1] Morett and his ground crews worked quickly to prepare the squadrons before the Battle of Yavin.[5] Right before the battle, Morett was adding fuel to one of the starfighters as the Rebel pilots were departing. The battle ended with the Alliance destroying the Imperial DS-1 Orbital Battle Station above Yavin 4. Morett wore a gray jumpsuit.[3]
