"We keep goin' in circles."
"What worries me is that we lost the signal to KB's life monitor."
―Maree and Garree[1]

Garree was a human female analyst who was married to Maree and parent to KB on their homeworld of At Attin. After KB and three other children went missing, Garree and Maree joined the other childrens' parents in waiting for news from the safety droids searching for them. When a droid arrived and informed the parents that the children had left the Barrier surrounding At Attin on a starship and that the Supervisor would not risk asking the Republic for help finding them, Garree became even more worried and brought up KB's urgent medical needs.

Biography

Safety droid: "Your children are on a starship that has illegally exited the Barrier."
Nooma: "What?"
Wendle: "Is the Supervisor going to contact the Republic for help?"
Safety droid: "Because the starship is outside the Barrier, the Supervisor is unable to risk any contact."

Maree and Garree feared for their missing daughter, KB.

Garree was a human native of the planet At Attin during the New Republic Era and lived with[1] her wife Maree and their daughter KB.[3] After an accident,[4] KB had ongoing urgent medical needs and wore a life monitor that sent a signal to her parents, both of who worked as analysts[1] for the Great Work on At Attin.[3] After KB accidentally traveled offworld on board a starship that she and her friends Fern, Wim, and Neel discovered on At Attin, each of their parents gathered at the home of Fern and her mother Fara to await news of their missing children from the safety droids searching for them.[1]

As they waited with Fara, Wim's father Wendle, and Neel's mother Nooma, Garree and Maree sat together on a couch while Maree complained that the search was going in circles and Garee worried about losing the signal from KB's monitor. Fara tried to reassure the couple that she had often run off with her friends as a child and then always returned, but before anyone could respond, a safety droid arrived at the house.[1]

The safety droid's update further distressed the parents.

The safety droid's update further distressed the parents.

The parents quickly stood, desperate for an update, but were horrified to learn that their children had illegally passed through the Barrier that hid At Attin from the rest of the galaxy and that the Supervisor of At Attin would not risk contacting the Republic for help. Visibly upset, Garree and Maree began shouting at the droid, bringing up her medical needs. As KB's parents continued hurrieddly talking, Fara announced that she would petition for an audience with the Supervisor on the matter and the droid began asking for everyone to remain calm.[1]

Personality and traits

"Damn the risk, these are our kids!"
"Our daughter has very urgent medical needs!"
―Maree and Garree[1]

Garree and Maree were loving and supportive parents who raised KB to be self-sufficient and strong,[3] but were greatly worried for their daughter when she went missing, with the parent's voice breaking as she spoke about KB's medical needs. Garree had tan skin, black hair, and brown eyes.[1]

Equipment

Like all of the parents at Fara's house, Garree wore a primarily brown outfit with black pants, shoes, and a belt. She had a silver band on her left wrist.[1]

Behind the scenes

Garree was portrayed by M.J. Kang in "Very Interesting, As an Astrogation Problem,"[1] the third episode of the Disney+ live-action series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which aired on December 10, 2024.[5] The character's name is not spoken in the episode but was listed in the credits.[1]
