Vader's Castle was first introduced in the canon video game Star Wars: Hunters as one of its playable maps, which was developed by NaturalMotion's BossAlien[1] and initially published by Zynga on November 16, 2021 as a soft launch[3] before the global release on June 4, 2024.[4] The map was added as part of the game's second season "Empire Resurgent" on August 1, 2024.[5] Prior to its proper introduction, the map was briefly shown in the game's launch date reveal trailer.[6] The battlefield was also first identified as Vader's Castle in the official patch notes on July 30 of the same year.[7]Artist Clint Young was responsible for the location's early concept visualizations.[8]
