Sinsang was an industrious world[2] located in the Sinsang system, a part of the Raioballo sector in the New Territories portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was situated on the hyperlane known as the Veragi Trade Route, which connected it to the Anx Minor, Neka, and Dantooine systems.[1]
Sinsang was among the thousands of worlds of the Raioballo sector represented in the Senate of the Galactic Republic by the Anx senator Horox Ryyder[2] until his retirement[3] in 22 BBY.[4] Ryyder was level-headed and impartial in representing his constituents and never favored Gravlex Med, the homeworld of the Anx species, over other worlds of the sector, including Sinsang.[2] Between 4 ABY and 12 ABY, Sinsang was situated in the territory of the Pentastar Alignment.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sinsang was first mentioned in "The University of Sanbra Guide to Intelligent Life: The Anx," an article authored by Craig R. Carey, Jason Fry, and Daniel Wallace and published in Star Wars Gamer 7[2] on October 16, 2001.[5] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Sinsang system, and therefore Sinsang itself, in grid square L-4.[1]
