Presbalin was a planet located in the Presbalin system. It was situated in the Loop Worlds area of the Gordian Reach sector within the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. The hyperlane known as the Junction-Tierell Loop connected it to the Near Indosa system as well as the Tierell system[1] of the Thesme sector.[2]
At one point, an alien culture abandoned a large number of cities at Presbalin. The planet's Human colonists subsequently found the settlements perfectly suitable for habitation. However, while some of the world's visitors found the cities' architecture to be aesthetically pleasing, others viewed it as eerie and frightening. Presbalin eventually became the commercial hub of the Loop Worlds, and during the years leading up to[1] 43 ABY,[3] scouts attempted to find a stable hyperspace route from it to the Pinoora system through the highly ionized gases of the nearby Denarii Nebula.[1]
Behind the scenes
Presbalin was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square P-6.[1]
