The Ossus Jedi Temple was a Jedi temple located on the planet Ossus, atop a plateau overlooking a large and deep canyon. One of the most ancient temples of the Jedi Order, it had been built when the Jedi established on Ossus after leaving their homeworld of Tython[1] at the end of the Force Wars.[2]
The temple was destroyed when the planet Ossus was devastated by the Cron Supernova[3] in 3996 BBY, during the Great Sith War.[2] Centuries later, during the third Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, the Sith invaded Ossus. During the invasion, the Sith Lord Darth Malora unleashed her Mutated Geonosians against the Jedi.[5] Eventually, the Geonosians settled in the ruins of the Ossus Jedi Temple and the Geonosian queen established her hive in the caves beneath the temple.[4]
