Orb amplifiers were devices found in High Republic Era installations on the planet Koboh. They were Jedi technology that stabilized, focused, and magnified the erratic potential energy stored in Koboh orbs. This process created an energy beam that repelled Koboh dust, and ignited the solid form of the dust into purple flames.^[1]
