Great oopik

The great oopik, also known simply as the oopik, was a species native to Paramatan.

Found in the planet's deep forests, the oopik's vestigial wings were thought to be the evolutionary link between the planet's reptiles and avians. They used echolocation to seek their food and stun them with powerful ultrasonic waves emitted from their throat sacs. The oopik was long thought to be extinct until some small clutches were located during the Galactic Civil War in the southern continent of Grxy.^[1]
